Memory Cueing Devices

Presentation VideoDec 05, 2014

The Defense Department's Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) provides assistive technology to wounded service members as well as federal employees with disabilities and distributes assistive technology videos to educate the public about their programs.

Planet Vox provided preproduction, camera production, and editing services to project partners Keymind/Axiom Resource Management to create a CAP assistive technology video about memory cueing devices. Memory cueing devices (such as smartphones) can be used to assist people with cognitive limitations.

To capture the best quality video from the iPhone, we used the Apple Digital AV Adapter with HDMI output combined with a high-definition scaler to create better quality zoomed-in views of the iPhone screen. Subtitle captions that do not cover any of the video image area were inserted and encoded with all delivered formats.
